Q: There are other demo events. How does this differ?
A: This is the only event that is regularly attended by the leading mobile and wireless companies, including Dell, HP, Kyocera, Motorola, Nokia, LG, Microsoft, palmOne, RIM, Samsung, Siemens, Sony Ericsson and Sprint, to name a few. These leading companies, in turn, draw the leading media. If you market cellphones, PDAs, laptops, Wi-Fi, or other types of wireless products or services, this is your event.
Q: How do I know these events will work well for us?
A: We have a proven track record of success. Our events are sponsored by dozens of the leading companies and attended by hundreds of press and analysts. And we invest heavily in the professionalism of our events, unlike some of the no-frills media events out there. Our events have a justified reputation for being the very best, for both sponsors and attending media.
Q: Who shows up for these events?
A: We invite only top-tier press and analysts, ensuring we draw the people you want to reach. Plus, the shared brand equity of so many major sponsor companies helps draw a big crowd. Typically, the press audience includes a wide variety of business, technology and consumer media such as ABC, Business Week, CBS, CNN, CNET, eWeek, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, Fox, Internet Week, L.A. Times, NBC, Newsweek, The New York Times, PC Magazine, PC World, Popular Science, RCR, Time, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Wireless Review, and Wireless Week -- to name a few.
Q: Can I invite press to the event?
A: We're happy to provide you with invitations but there is no need for you to contact press. By coordinating with us the press won't get multiple invitations to the event. We're happy to add any qualified media to the invite list if they aren't on it or discuss any plans with you.
Q: Do I have to be an exhibitor at a particular trade show to be part of these receptions?
A: No, not at all. These events can serve either as a targeted and cost-effective adjunct to booth exhibits, or an efficient alternative for those not exhibiting at a particular trade show.

Q: Are you associated with or sponsored
by the trade shows?
A: Pepcom's showcases are independent media events. We are the "official" media event at some trade shows, and the largest at others. We are not owned or operated by trade shows or groups, however. We simply take advantage of the timing to provide an effective event for you and the press.
Q: Who handles the promotion?
A: We handle all of the press invitations and follow-up, as well as the web site promotion (including online RSVP). You can do your own pre-show publicity as you see fit.
Q: Why don't you have any speeches or panels?
A: These are demo events. We provide a chance for sponsors and guests to interact informally. No preset agenda also means press can attend on their own schedule.
Q: Do I get a list of attending press?
A: Absolutely! We collect business cards from all attendees. After the event, we send an electronic file with all attendee information that you may use for future press outreach.
Q: Can we bring booth-style displays or banners to the event?
A: No. We strive to create an intimate, cocktail-party type of atmosphere for these events, not to emulate the trade show floor. So all materials must fit atop your table.
Q: Can I be guaranteed a special position?
A: We do our best to accommodate requests to be near (or far from) other sponsors. Such requests should be made as early as possible.
Q: What's the difference between your demo events?
A: MobileFocus does the same for portable and wireless technologies, while DigitalFocus does the same for digital imaging and video. eFocus showcases electronic entertainment. Digital Experience! showcases a variety of consumer electronics and computer products.
Q: Can I also reserve a spot now in future events?
A: Yes, you can. Our calendar is on the web site. Or you can call or e-mail us for more information.
